Changes to the committee

With a number of positions and roles available the management committee have co-opted several members onto the committee.

Following Graham and Jo Walker's decision to stand down the committee are delighted to welcome Peter Cowan into the role of Secretary and Greg Pichilingi as Coaching Co-ordinator. Greg will nominate team representatives to the NWC meetings, call club meetings and apply for bursary funding.

Eddie McAdam too will be taking on some of the responsibilities of the coaching roles including keeping an audit of coaches and arranging coaching courses and coach related continued professional development. Eddie will procure coaching equipment and be the 1st point of contact with the RFL coaching department.

Ste Curphey has accepted a role on the committee with responsibility for representing the open age section as well as being the driving force behind the attempt to start a women's section.

In addition to her capacity as Club Welfare Officer Georgina Barnard will also act as volunteer co-ordinator and registration secretary. All transfers in and out of the club will go through Georgina. Georgina will be undertaking an audit of all teams to establish a current player and volunteer database.

Peter will be 1st point of contact with the RFL, NWC leagues and Widnes Vikings; Peter will be help grow the club's social media profile and will be responsible for taking and distributing the minutes of club meetings.

Julie Hughes will continue in her role as Treasurer and Paul Farrell as Chairman with responsibility for developing a club development plan with respect to funding applications to improve our facilities.

These appointments are subject to ratification at the AGM to be held in January 2018.

The committee would like to thank Graham and Jo for their dedicated service to the club over many years.
